Boni POS·guide·Version 1

Set up a POS register

Prepare a company counter, its catalog, payments, invoices and device.

Prepare the company counter

In Boni One, select the company and open Manage point of sale. Register management requires the company's manager access.

Create the register

In Registers, add a counter and choose its legal entity, outlet, country, currency and time zone. Set the business details for receipts. Choose the display density, theme, catalog layout and language appropriate to the counter.

Choose the enabled payment methods and the required reference for externally recorded payments. Keep cash, card and UPI labels clear for the cashier. Payment recording and provider confirmation have distinct meanings.

Connect normal company invoices

Use Invoices to connect the company's Accounting profile and invoice series. Normal POS invoices belong to the selling company; marketplace selling identifiers are not required. Configure the applicable tax components on the items and prices. The company remains responsible for its legal and tax setup.

Use Payments to configure the cash posting policy and its accounts. A register's invoice policy and actual outgoing refund authority are separate settings.

Publish the catalog

Use Catalog to maintain the company’s products, services, variants and combos. In register management, Products & services uses the same editor with prices for that register’s legal entity, outlet and currency. For tracked goods, complete Inventory setup and assign stock to the counter before selling them.

Publish the catalog to the counter. An older enrolled device needs to sync and renew its authorization to adopt the current published catalog.

Enroll the device

Choose Open registers, select the counter and complete device setup. Set and remember the device unlock PIN. Use the same browser profile to recover the saved journal. Open the shift when prompted.

The device must be connected for initial setup. Once prepared and unlocked, permitted local work can continue during a connection interruption. See Offline work and devices.
