# Offline work and POS devices

Prepare a browser register and recover saved work safely.

## Prepare while connected

Use a supported browser on the intended device. Publish the catalog, enroll the register, set its unlock PIN and open the shift. Assign tracked stock before relying on disconnected selling.

Initial setup, fresh cloud data and authorization renewal require a connection. Saving a bookmark alone does not prepare a register.

## Continue during an interruption

The prepared register keeps its permitted local catalog, carts and completed transactions on the device. Work remains within its current authorization, limits and assigned stock. The interface shows work waiting to sync and any action that needs attention.

Choose a saved register and enter its existing PIN after reopening the browser. Keep the same browser profile. **Do not clear site data, remove the browser profile or discard the device while work is pending.** Storage errors need recovery before continuing; an apparently blank register is not proof its original transactions were synchronized.

## Reconnect and renew

Reconnect and check that saved transactions synchronize. Use **Sync and renew authorization** in Settings when required or when adopting a newly published catalog. The register retains the original outcomes through interrupted replies; do not enroll another device as a substitute for recovery.

An expired authorization pauses new selling. It does not erase prior saved work. Reopen and synchronize the original register to resolve it.

## Apply a register update

Updates are staged while the register is active. Retain or finish the current cart and use the displayed restart action at a safe point. After restart, unlock the same saved register and verify the retained cart and sync status.

## Scanners, printers and payment devices

Keyboard-style barcode scanners enter the configured item barcode into the selling search. Test the actual scanner's barcode format and terminator during setup.

Browser receipt printing uses the selected printer and print settings. A generated document or opened print dialog does not prove paper was printed. Check the physical output before enabling the counter's intended printing workflow.

Payment terminals and integrated printers depend on their supported provider and transport. Confirm the device/browser combination during setup. Recording a card or UPI reference does not provide offline card authorization or a provider payment confirmation.
