# Boni Calendar

Boni Calendar is the canonical workspace calendar; Google Calendar is an optional synchronization connection.

## Boni Calendar comes first

Every workspace can use Boni Calendar without connecting Google. Events, reminders, scheduling windows, and workflow time belong to Boni's calendar and time layer.

When the Assistant creates an event, Boni writes the canonical event first. If optional Google synchronization is configured, Boni projects the event afterward. A Google outage or disconnected account cannot block or replace the Boni event.

## Optional Google synchronization

Connect Google only when you want selected Google calendar state to appear with Boni Calendar. The setup uses Google's authorization page. It is not required for native events, Tasks, reminders, or the Assistant.

## Events and Tasks

Use an event for reserved time or a calendar occurrence. Use a Task for owned work and completion state. Connect them when a meeting, deadline, or scheduled workflow needs both.
